Ms. Leary - Classroom Aide
I am grateful that I have been given the opportunity to work at St. Michael’s School. I retired in June, 2009 from the Haverhill School system. I began my 39 year career in Haverhill as a 4th grade teacher and held several different positions including middle school guidance counselor, school psychologist, and special education coordinator. For the last nine years, I was a guidance counselor at Haverhill High School, which was extremely rewarding. I enjoyed working with my students for 4 years to prepare them for life after high school.
Last summer I saw a notice in the church bulletin seeking retired teachers to assist with students at the school. After a year of retirement I felt that this would be the perfect opportunity for me. After working this past with Mrs. Caffrey and Mrs. Grant in grade two, I decided to return to my position as it is a privilege to be part of this team. I am enjoying working with the students and staff. St. Michael’s School has exceeded my expectations. The environment is warm, nurturing, and academically challenging.
I have lived in North Andover and have been a member of the parish all my life. I am married to Michael and we are the proud parents of three children, Dan who is married to Carrie, Jack and Katy. We have been blessed with two grandchildren.
