Welcome to Morning Bunch & Extended Day!

My name is Nicole Hughes and this is my second year teaching the Morning Bunch program and my 5th year teaching Extended Day at Saint Michael School. I have been a member of the Saint Michael family for five years. As a former student of Saint Monica’s Elementary School, Lowell Catholic High School, and Middlesex Community College, I believe in the importance of a strong Catholic education. When I came to Saint Michael’s I immediately fell in love with the school, community, faculty, and students. I am very lucky to be part of such a wonderful place. I have come to Saint Michaels with 20 years experience working with children of all ages. I have taught pre-k, an accelerated Jr.K class, and ran an After school Program. I have my Director 2 and pre-school Lead Teacher certifications from EEC.

I enjoy seeing and hearing the children’s enthusiasm when they accomplish something on their own for the first time. Whether it’s zipping their own coat, tying their shoes or learning how to read. This year we will be having lots of fun while learning our letters and numbers to observing the weather and growing our own plants. In Extended Day, we will be doing lots of theme based crafts as well as doing organized group games and playing outside. I look forward to another great year with your children.
