Mrs. Clifford - Middle School Literature (Room 6B)
My name is Shawna Clifford. I have been fortunate to have been working at Saint Michael school for the past 9 years as a Literature teacher. I have earned both my Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. My undergraduate degree was earned in History and my graduate degree was earned in Elementary Education. With my history background I can merge the Literature curriculum with the History curriculum so that my students receive a full understanding of the material. I believe in making learning fun and interesting while giving my students a solid education. Within my classroom students learn to discuss major pieces of Literature while putting the ideas into their own words to fully understand the inner workings of the many pieces of Literature they read.
In addition to being a teacher, I am a wife of a United States Coastguardsman and mother of two amazing daughters. I am very family oriented and try to bring that same joy and love to my classes every day.
