Mrs. Beaudry - Grade 1 (Room 1B)
Welcome to 1B!
Our classroom is a collection of all our interests. It is decorated with the students’ work, gifts from past students, and some of my own special items. The first thing you see when you walk into our room is a rocking chair. I love to read to the children here and we often meet and discuss various ideas in this section of the room. The children also read from this special chair throughout the year!
I was blessed with the opportunity to stay home with my two sons when they were young. I became a substitute teacher when they started grammar school and then went back to college to work on my Master’s degree when they went to High School. After I completed my degree I accepted the first grade teaching position at St. Michael School. I brought to the school my love of teaching as well as my love of parenting.
Not only do I teach reading and math and other academic subjects but I am able to teach about the Nativity and the Resurrection. I see these special religious holydays again through the eyes of our six year olds. It is truly inspirational.
This school is not only my second home but my second family.
We really are a family here.
