MVCBA League Rules Game - All games will consist of two 20 minute running halves. The last 2 minutes of the game ONLY will be stop time (not each half). The clock will run during free throw, unless during the last 2 minutes of the game. Each team will be allowed 2 time outs per half with no carryovers (use them or lose them). Overtime will be 3 minutes; running time for the first two minutes, stop time for the last minute. Additional overtimes, if needed, will be the same.
Rosters - Rosters are due by the first game. No change can be made to any team's roster after January 1.
Conduct - Fighting and poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated (by players or coaches). Anyone ejected for a game for any reason will be ineligible to participate in the next game (includes players and coaches). A second ejection in the same season will result in expulsion from the league. Taunting, foul langue, baiting and booing the opponent is not part of the MVCBA code of ethics and will be dealt with by officials.
Coaches/Parents - Coaches and parents should be setting an example for their players. Officials MUST be respected. No foul language will be tolerated. Anyone using such language will be asked to leave the gym. Should the official ask a parent or coach to leave because of foul language or other behavior problems, play will stop until such time as the adult leaves the gym. Refusal to leave will result in the game being forfeited by that team.
