LUNCH
MENU
Welcome to our Hot Lunch Program.
A yellow manila envelope with a new lunch ticket will be
sent home every Tuesday. Please return that envelope even if
you are not planning to order a lunch that week. We re-use the envelopes
from week to week, so send those envelopes back. We will refresh the
envelope with a menu and blank lunch tickets for subsequent weeks for you to
decide if you want to order.
If you have
more than 1 student attending the school the envelope will be sent
home with the youngest child. All
lunch tickets should be returned to us no later than Friday of the same week.
It is vital that we
receive these tickets on time because we always plan a week ahead of time. Every
child must have a paid lunch ticket in order to receive a hot lunch. Children
cannot come through the line with cash and purchase a hot lunch.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
Cold lunches are always available for $2.50 through the
window. They can also be purchased ahead of time just like the hot lunch. A cold
lunch is a choice of a sandwich (ham, bologna, turkey, tuna), chips, pretzels,
etc. and a dessert. Pasta salad (Ranch or Italian) will be served for all
lunches upon request. Individual garden salads and sandwiches are always
available at the window.
Many children ask for extra main portions. For example:
(Tacos, chicken, hot dogs, pizza, etc.). We have a
line on the ticket for extra portions. If your child is
having hot lunch and wants an extra portion, please circle the day on both
lines. If your child does not like the hot lunch on any day, and would prefer a
sandwich instead, please circle cold lunch. Please fill out the lunch ticket
completely. You can pay by the week or the month. Some people have paid for the
year. Cash or checks are accepted. Please make your checks payable to Just Like
Home. There will be a $20.00 fee for all returned checks.
CREDITS: Credits will only be given for snow
days, or if your child is absent for 2 or more consecutive days. If you are
taking a credit, please fill out the lunch ticket, subtract the credit and write
us a little note.
If your child forgets their lunch ticket, a bagged lunch
will be served to them for $2.50. A debit slip will be sent home to them.
Payment is expected the next day.
Please do not combine any other money with the lunch
moneys.
If your child has any food allergies, please notify the
nurse. She will notify us and the proper procedures will be taken.
