Last summer I participated in VBS, along with a group of children and adult volunteers from St. Michael's. The experience was incredible! All the children loved the camp. There were over 200 children who participated. It is a non-denominational gathering of children from all the local churches. The children learn about Jesus without any discussion of different churches! Each day is filled with skits, upbeat songs with motions, snacks, arts and crafts and just plain fun. With all this fun, the children learn more about Jesus and grow their faith. I highly recommend this for children from ages 4 through those entering 6th grade. The theme this year is based on an adventure park and every room will be decorated and set up so the children feel like that is exactly where they are! If you would like to register your child, please do so online @ www.andovervbs.com and do not hesitate to contact me if you would like some more information. If you would like to join me for a week you will never forget, please register as a volunteer at the same website. I know parents are always looking for activities to keep their children involved over the summer! This one is a great option! Please consider it! God Bless you all, Bonnie Spurr
We are pleased to be able to announce that we have found a way to honor this very special young man for years to come. It is with great pride and much sorrow that we announce that we dedicated our playground in memory of Connor and have started a scholarship fund in his name. Check out a special web site dedicated to honor and remember Connor Michael Edward Ciesielski by clicking here. We are accepting donations in memory of Connor to benefit his memorial and scholarship. We ask that you keep Connor in your hearts, thoughts and prayers. He was a vibrant, intelligent, adorable young man who battled and beat leukemia twice in his short life. He will forever be part of each one of us at St. Michael School. Feel free to check out some links below regarding helping children deal with grief.
Protecting God's Children Workshop: This workshop is required for all volunteers in the school. Contact Laurie O'Connor for upcoming dates at 978-686-4050.
